So many years together and we're still going strong.

We celebrated by taking a vacation day and driving up to Gloucester to tour Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House. It's a sprawling and labyrinthine house, with great views and a wonderful garden. Each of the 40 rooms has a different theme, color, style or inspiration. I'd wanted to visit it ever since hearing the episode of the podcast "Someone Lived Here" about the house and its owner and designer, Henry Davis Sleeper.

Following the tour, we drove to the neighboring town of Essex and filled ourselves with tasty seafood at Woodman's, and then headed home before the rush hour traffic got too bad.
